How to Apply for a puppy
Thank you so much for considering one of our puppies as a new addition to your family! Here at Kyon Kennel, our top priority is ensuring that our puppies go to loving, responsible homes where they will live happy, fulfilling lives.
Before submitting your Puppy Application, it is important to review our current and upcoming litters to determine which litter you are interested in and which you feel would best suit you and your lifestyle. We ask that you only apply for a litter if you are seriously interested, as the decision to welcome a puppy into your home is a significant one and should be approached with care and consideration. We also recommend reviewing our policies, viewing the sample contracts, and reading our FAQs below before submitting your application.
Please Note: all litter plans are dependent upon the timing of heat cycles, successful mating, healthy pregnancies, and litter size.
All prospective puppy owners are REQUIRED to complete our Puppy Application Form! This application is an essential part of our process and helps us match each puppy with the right family. Please understand that submitting an application does not guarantee approval. We reserve the right to deny any application that we feel is not a good fit. The application simply allows us to get to know you, your lifestyle, and what type of puppy or litter may be the best fit for you.

Our Policies + Contract Samples
• Once your application has been accepted, you will be required to submit a $200.00 non-refundable deposit and sign our Non-Refundable Deposit Contract in order to be placed on our waitlist. Deposits are non-refundable and may be transferred for up to two litters. If the Buyer declines all available litter transfers or fails to respond when contacted regarding placement, the deposit will be forfeited.
• Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT allow home visits or in-person puppy pickups. Weekly pictures are provided, and videos or FaceTime calls are available upon request. We are always happy to accommodate! The safety of our families, puppies, and dogs is our top priority, and no exceptions will be made.
• Our puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration (no breeding rights) and under a spay and neuter contract, unless otherwise discussed or under special circumstances. Full AKC Registration (breeding rights) may be considered once all required health testing has been completed and copies of passing results have been received. Upon completion of the required testing, the Buyer will pay an additional $500.00 fee to obtain Full AKC Registration. Even if all requirements are met, we reserve the right to decline releasing Full Registration or placing a puppy in a breeding home.
• If at ANY POINT we determine that you are no longer a safe or suitable fit for one of our puppies, we reserve the right to discontinue the process and refuse the sale.

We only specialize in breeding German Shepherd Dogs.
All of our puppies, regardless of gender, color, or coat length, are $1,500.00 with Limited AKC Registration or $2,000.00 with Full AKC Registration. We offer a 10% discount to all active-duty and retired military members and emergency service personnel, as well as a 15% returning family discount. Absolutely! We accept payments in the same ways we accept deposits: cash, through GoodDog, PayPal, or Venmo. GoodDog also now offers Klarna payment plans! You can make payments at any time and for any amount you’d like throughout the eight-week period. Whenever we receive a payment, you will receive an updated payment summary showing the amount paid and your remaining balance.
If you reserve a spot on a litter waitlist and later need to back out, we will hold your deposit and remain in contact with you regarding transferring your deposit to another waitlist, future litter plans, and available puppies. We will attempt to contact you up to two times regarding placement. If we do not receive a response after our second attempt, your deposit will be forfeited.
If you reserve a spot for a male puppy and later decide you would prefer a female, but there is no female availability in the current litter, we will move you to a future litter that meets the same specifications as the litter you originally reserved a spot on. If availability opens up in the litter you initially reserved a spot on, we will immediately contact you to notify you of the opening.
