How to Apply for a puppy
Thank you so much for considering one of our puppies to add to your family! Here at Kyon Kennel our top priority is that our puppies go to loving, responsible homes where they will live fulfilling and happy lives.
Before submitting your Puppy Application, it is important to review our current and upcoming litters to decide which litter you are interested in and think will best suit you and your lifestyle. We ask that you only apply for a litter if you are seriously interested, the decision to welcome a puppy into your home is a significant one and should be approached with care and consideration! We also recommend reading our policies, viewing the sample contracts and reading our FAQ's located below before applying.
*Please note: Everything is dependent on timing of heat cycles, successful mating, healthy pregnancies and litter size.
All new potential puppy owners are REQUIRED to fill out our Puppy Application Form! This application is an essential part of our process to help match each puppy with the right family. Please understand that applying does not guarantee you will be approved, as we reserve the right to deny applications, we feel are not a good fit. It simply allows us to get to know you and what litter or type of puppy is the best fit for you.

Our Policies + Contract Samples
• Once your application has been accepted, you will be required to submit a $200.00 non-refundable deposit and sign our Non-Refundable Deposit Contract in order to be placed on our waitlist. Deposits are non-refundable and are transferable for up to two litters. If the Buyer declines all litter transfers or if no answer is received for placement, their deposit will be forfeited.
• Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT allow home visits or pickups! Weekly pictures are provided, and videos or FaceTime calls are available upon request. I am always happy to accommodate! Our families, puppies, and dogs’ safety are our top priority, and no exceptions will be made.
• Our puppies are sold with Limited AKC registration (no breeding rights) and on a spay and neuter contract, unless otherwise discussed or under special circumstances. Full AKC registration (breeding rights) may be attained once all required health testing is completed and copies of passing scores are received. Upon completion, the Buyer will pay an additional fee of $500.00 to obtain full AKC registration. Even if all of those requirements are met, we still reserve the right to decline releasing Limited registration or placing a puppy into a breeding home!
• If at ANY POINT, we feel you are no longer a safe or right fit for our puppies, we reserve the right to stop the process and refuse service to you.

We only specialize in breeding German Shepherd Dogs.
All of our puppies regardless of gender, color or coat length are $1,300.00 for Limited AKC Registration or $1,800.00 for Full AKC Registration. We offer a 10% discount to all active and retired military and emergency service members. You can learn more about our pricing and what is included with our puppies on our Upcoming Litters page.

Absolutely! We can accept payments the same way we accept deposits; cash, via GoodDog, PayPal or Venmo. GoodDog also now offers Klarna payment plans too! You can make payments whenever and for however much you’d like throughout the 8 weeks. When we receive a payment, you will get an update regarding your payments made and remaining balance due.
If you reserve a spot on a litter list and have to back out, we will hold your deposit and be in contact with you regarding moving to another waitlist, future litter plans and availability. We will attempt to reach back out to you twice in an attempt to place you, if no answer is received for placement your deposit will be forfeited.
If you reserve a spot for a male puppy and decide you would prefer a female instead and there is no availability on the current litter, we will move you to a future litter that fits the same specifications of the litter you are currently on. In the event availability happens to come open on the litter you initially reserved a spot on, we will immediately reach out to you to notify you of said opening.
